Heathside Veterinary Surgery

Heathside Veterinary Surgery was established in 1998 and has five Veterinary Surgeons and a dedicated nursing team, made up of Registered Veterinary Nurses and Student Veterinary Nurses. The practice strives to provide excellent clinical care and a friendly personal service for the local community and their pets.
We firmly believe that prevention is better than cure and to this end, we provide a high standard of preventative health care and advice, as well as the very best medical and surgical care.
We have been an approved nurse training practice since 1999 and have successfully trained many veterinary nurses over the years, following.
We are ideally located in Locks Heath and have clients utilising our services from Whiteley, Park Gate, Titchfield, Warsash, Sarisbury Green, Fareham, Stubbington, Lee On Solent and Gosport. Some even travel from as far afield as Bournemouth and London, who we have known for many years.

Lovely vets. Staff friendly and welcoming. Really like that there is separate areas for cats /small animals and dogs. There are even treats on offer which is a nice touch. Plus leaflets and helpful info. It’s a pleasant place to visit even if the reason for going isn’t.The website is good and I really appreciate being able to book non urgent appointments online.

This vets is so good.Jeremy our vet retired and I was a bit concerned who we would see next.On Saturday we saw Toby who was amazing. He put my mind at rest about my dog who had been ill for a few days.She seems to like Toby as much as she liked Jeremy.All the staff here are friendly and helpful.

A helpful and friendly veterinary surgery. The staff are all very supportive on the phone and in person. We have our first puppy and they patiently put our mind at rest around a few questions and issues that we had. I would definitely recommend.

A fantastic veterinary practice. The staff all care so much about the welfare of their patients, going above what you’d normally expect from a veterinary practice.Sadly we lost one of our older dogs to cancer a few years ago, and the staff were all so upset as they all regarded Maxxy Boy to be one of their own pets.We have moved away from the local area, but we still continue to use this practice because of the way that our pets are treated. Each one of our pets is regarded as if they belong to the staff.

Staff are a delight which is just as well given the awkward access - but not insurmountable with their willing help + ramp - with the same levels of patience and understanding extended to pet parents as well as to the pets themselves. No complaints about pet (dog in my case) health care and Mia loves going, as did the late Mickey before her.
